The Swiss Post bus to Fafleralp from Goppenstein.  I was the only passenger for much of the way!

The start of the hike starts out nice and easy...

The first river crossing was also a cattle crossing - lots of "cow platz" - LOL.

The first cow seemed very uninterested in me as I hiked by.

As I cross a cow pasture I catch my first view of the hut (hütte) way in the distance at the top of the ridge.

The hut looks very far away - and way up!!

Thou shalt not pass...   This cow just stood in my path until I waved my arms around.

The river was really roaring as I hiked along the bank for a while.

Really?  I'm on the Annenhütte trail.

The trail definitely becomes a "white-red-white" as I continue up.

I think I'll stay on the white-red-white.  Blue is for climbing with rock and ice gear - the glacier!

Oh great. Sheep blocking the trail.

Are they going to get out of the way?

They finally moved - but left little "presents" all over the trail.
